Cookie notice

Effective 23 September 2026. This notice explains what this site and the player app store on your device. The rule is section 99(5) of the Regulation of Electronic Communications and Postal Services Law of 2004 (Law 112(I)/2004), as amended, which implements Article 5(3) of Directive 2002/58/EC. Storing or reading information on your device needs your prior consent, unless it is strictly necessary for a service you asked for. The GDPR and Law 125(I)/2018 apply where the information is personal data. The controller is the same person as in the privacy notice.

1. Analytics (optional)

We use PostHog Cloud EU to measure visits and traffic channels on the marketing site and public tournament boards: page URL, referrer, UTM parameters, and a coarse region. There is no advertising network. The PostHog script loads only after you press Accept. Reject, or leaving without a choice, means the script never loads. Accept and Reject are shown with equal prominence; nothing is pre-ticked.

2. Marketing site (padelscope.app)

These pages do not set first-party tracking cookies of our own. They use local storage in the browser, which the same rule covers, and — only after Accept — PostHog may set its own cookies or local storage as described in PostHog’s documentation:

3. The player app

The iOS and Android apps, and the player app in the browser, store the access and refresh tokens on the device (secure storage on the phone; the browser’s storage for the web app). That storage is strictly necessary to keep you signed in. It is not a cookie of this marketing site, and it is not readable by the marketing pages. The app also remembers the language you picked. Push tokens are described in the privacy notice; they are not cookies. The same PostHog project may be added to the apps later; it will wait for in-app consent before capturing.

4. How to remove them

You can delete site data for padelscope.app in the browser settings. That clears language, analytics choice and PostHog data on the device. Removing the app, or clearing its storage, deletes the tokens on the device. Blocking all storage will sign you out and will forget the language.
